So. ILL 7.10 Fest Wrap Up
This weekend we celebrated the 7/10 holiday with our very own So. ILL 7.10 Fest across from Consume Carbondale! The fest began as planned with an amazing performance by the Banjo Joe Show. Unfortunately, we were hit by a terrible storm that knocked out our sound system, leaving Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and Tawl Paul & Slappin Henry Blue unable to perform. While the fest didn’t go as planned, we would consider it a great success.
After the state was moved into Phase 5, we saw an opportunity to bring events back to Carbondale. This past year had been difficult for so many, and we were thrilled to have the support of the city of Carbondale to put on a fest. The team at Carbondale Main Street was a joy to work with and are a huge part of why we were able to pull this event together in such a short period of time. We look forward to getting to work with Carbondale Main Street again.
This fest was both a thank you to the city and people of Carbondale for their support in our first year of business and a showcase of the type of fun and education events we hope to put on in the future. Keep an eye on our events page for more information on future events in Carbondale and at our other Consume locations.
We are so grateful to the city of Carbondale and Carbondale Main Street for making this event happen. A big thank you to our great sponsors Tonic, PTS, Aeriz, Select, Cann, and IESO for making the fest possible. Thank you to all the awesome vendors and performers who braved the heat and rain to make fest amazing.
A very special thank you to everyone who came out to the fest! Whether you are are local to Carbondale or travelled hours to the fest, we appreciate you! We wish the rain had held off but we hope you all had a great time and we hope you will join us again next year!
